Active Singing Workshop
Our Mission is to provide comprehensible tools for singers and actors to immerse themselves in the dramatic action of musical text, silence their inner critical voice and allow them to be utterly present in order to effectively communicate the meaning of a song.
Active Singing Workshop, led by award-winning international artists, Kelly Robinson and Kathleen Brett, champions the Active Singing technique that integrates acting, singing and stagecraft through the focus of through, breath and physical action to produce singing that is compelling and convincing.
One-On-One — individual and small group sessions/coachings assist singers in audition and role preparation resulting in work of confidence and authenticity that stands out.
Masterclasses — for voice students in universities, conservatories and young artist programs. In addition to enhanced performance skills, the Active Singing Workshop provides accessible tools that help singers and actors manage and flourish in professional situations, including:
- Auditions
- Coachings
- Rehearsals
- Performances
- Professional Relationships
Workshops are typically 2-5 days, involving scene work, geared to the singing artist, theater games, integrated vocal and acting coaching, etc. and are individually tailored to fit the needs of the institution.
